Masonic Villages at Elizabethtown is seeking a R.N. Supervisor. This is a Baylor Saturday and Sunday 7 am- 7 pm opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As the R.N. Supervisor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continuing education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The R.N. Supervisor will attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work and carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. The R.N. Supervisor is responsible for the following:

  • Monitors nursing care by visiting residents routinely to ensure continuity and continual evaluation of care and provider's orders.  Assesses resident's condition and nursing care needs, assures that medications, treatments and care are being provided as ordered or specified. Prepares equipment and assists with provider visits.  Provides direct resident care and transports residents to activities and appointments as time permits.  Performs glucometer readings, EKG's and other testing as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation of nursing observations, including follow-up documentation in the medical record in accordance with acceptable standards of practice.  Assures completion of required paperwork as mandated by DHS within time parameters; completes updates yearly and with significant changes in resident status.  Completes level of care assessments according to policy and procedures. 
  • Notifies provider of change in resident's condition according to policy and acceptable professional standards.  Notifies family of change in resident's condition or hospitalization according to policy.  Communicates with oncoming staff on the next shift concerning condition of the resident or any unusual occurrences as appropriate.
  • Functions as an advocate for the resident and resident's family by supplying and interpreting information supporting decisions and facilitating communications.
  • Participates in resident and family education as planned through the ID team.

What You Definitely Have:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse Required
  • Current RN licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing required.
  • CPR certification prior to or upon employment.
  • Previous leadership and long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
