What You'll Do:

As a Management Trainee - Environmental Services, you will carry out our Mission of Love by learning to perform the responsibilities of an Environmental Services Supervisor through training in leadership, operations, and customer service to prepare to succeed as a trainee and future supervisory role within the organization. Our Management Trainee - Environmental Services are responsible for the following:

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain a schedule for cleaning all assigned areas and equipment in accordance with regulations and standards.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of Masonic Village buildings and review recommended actions with the Environmental Services Director, and prepare necessary work orders, if necessary, and report any unsafe conditions to administration.
  • Ensure staffing requirements are met by adhering to company policies and procedures when hiring, supervising, and making disciplinary decisions.
  • Orient new employees and instruct them in work procedures and standards, which are essential for housekeeping operations.
  • Evaluate employee's work performance and recommend personnel actions such as commendations or disciplinary action. Provide in-service training for housekeeping personnel, and encourage personnel to participate in other educational programs. 
  •  Assist management in developing the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Process and maintain departmental records such as operating budgets, inventory, and employee records. Ensure operating supplies and inventory adheres to established budgets and maintain records accordingly. 
  • Completes special projects as assigned by management in a timely manner. 
  • Provide periodic direction of other Environmental Service areas in the absence of peers. 

What You Definitely Have:

  • I have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • I have a minimum of two years work experience in supervisory or lead role (any industry).
  • I have an Associate or two-year degree (preferred).
  • I have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
  • I have good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
  • I have good customer service skills.
