Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is hiring a Commercial Insurance Coordinator (Billing/Collections). This is a Full Time Day opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Commercial Insurance Coordinator, you will carry out our Mission of Love by preparation of bills and monitoring collections of commercial insurers, Medicare A and Managed A, Managed B and Hospice.

Our Commercial Insurance Coordinators are responsible for the following:

  • Knowledge of Medical Assistance regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, regulations governing resident personal care accounts, and other governmental or industry regulations applicable to Masonic Villages' operations, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate on issues affecting position's responsibilities. Communication may include identification and documentation of issue, gathering of information, and development of an action plan. Communication may include written reports or schedules, and oral presentations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business systems/software and controls for the resident service revenue activities of Masonic Villages. Demonstrated ability to utilize systems as needed to meet operational needs, regulatory requirements and maintain sufficient controls to ensure completeness and accuracy. 
  • Responsible for reviewing and submission of bills for all Medicare A, Commercial insurers, and Managed Care A and B and Hospice billing for room, board and ancillary charges for residents of Masonic Villages as assigned.
  • Responsible for collections of Commercial Insurance, Medicare A, and Managed Care A and B receivables for Masonic Villages, as assigned.
  • Responsible for scanning checks via Remote Deposit and for keying the corresponding cash receipts.
  • Track Part A days for all payors including, Medicare A, Managed A and Commercial Payors by month and communicate to Manager.
  • Responsible to communicate with staff and residents at Masonic Village locations regarding when benefits are inadequate, adequate or will end; as well as plan specifics and participation by location.

What You Definitely Have:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Accounting (preferred) or minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Computer experience required. I have PC experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. I can create spreadsheets and use formulas. 
  • Proficiency in typing and calculator required.
  • Two years experience in billing and collections.
  • Experience in claim auditing (preferred).
