What You'll Do:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing high quality occupational therapy services in order to optimize the functional abilities and skills of residents or patients at Masonic Village.

Our Occupational Therapist is responsible for the following:

  • Provides high quality occupational therapy services in order to optimize the functional abilities and skills of residents or patients at Masonic Village.

  • Understands managed care/Prospective Payment System (PPS) billing and treatment guidelines.  Provides quality care as well as reasonable goals and outcomes within the guidelines.

  • Maintains confidentiality of Masonic Villages' patient information.
  • Ability to work varying hours, including, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Refers patients for treatment to COTA's by completing evaluation and initial plan of treatment, and communicating necessary and sufficient information.  Responsibility for reassessment and discharge planning of a patient to a COTA who will treat the same patients.

  • Evaluates patients and develops initial and ongoing treatment and discharge plans.  Supervises assistants and aides.  Contributes to care management.

What You Definitely Have:

  • Evaluates patients and develops initial and ongoing treatment and discharge plans.  Supervises assistants and aides.  Contributes to care management.

  • Listening, reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts and correspondence.

  • Effective clinical problem solving skills, i.e., identify and prioritize issues in responsive manner, develop sound and innovative action plans, execute action plan on a timely basis, ensure appropriate results, etc.

  • Computer skills for effective management reporting including documentation, billing, payroll an expense reporting and statistical reporting of patient progress.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification for Occupational Therapy. 
  • Valid state license.
