What You'll Do:

As a Project Manager I, you will carry out our Mission of Love by using a blend of project management methodologies, task, resource, and financial management tools, interpersonal communications, business and process analysis, and technical know-how the Project Manager I leads small to mid-size projects supporting the administrative, clinical, and infrastructure aspects of the organization.  The Project Manager I works at the direction of the Senior Project Manager, IT directors, and the Chief Information Officer in the continued development of the Masonic Villages IT PMO (project management office).  The IT PMO serves to establish and maintain project management standards and methodologies for the structured management of projects. 

Our Project Manager I is responsible for the following:

  • Leads and provides leadership to visible, sensitive and multi-faceted projects.
  • Helps to ensure strategic direction of projects.
  • Develops project plans which identify key issues/risks, problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources (time, people, and financial). 
  • Assists with leading multi-disciplinary project teams, as well as schedules and monitors work of outside consultants/vendors.
  • Schedules, facilitates, and records outcomes of team meetings ensuring ownership of issues and action items are accepted by assignees.
  • Accountable for the creation of project documentation, using established templates, for management and other key clients to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices.
  • Assists with development, execution, and monitoring of communication, training, and testing plans.

What You Definitely Have:

  • Prior experience coordinating and leading activities, groups, and projects. 
  • Experience with non-profit organizations and/or healthcare preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, operations research, information systems or Associate's degree combined with two years of relevant work experience. 
  • Ability to function as both an effective team member and/or team leader. 
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills adaptable to various audience sizes and types. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the agile ability to adapt to change. 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, Skype for Business, and Office 365. 
  • Experience using mobile devices to facilitate task execution (i.e. phone, tablet, etc.). 
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies. 
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel in-state up to 20%. 
  • Ability to work independently with, and manage, geographically dispersed teams. 
  • Flexibility with schedule to support project activities and go-lives.
