What You'll Do:

The Senior VP of Operations will work collaboratively with the COO and members of the Corporate Leadership Team to provide leadership and direction for setting objectives, planning, organizing, staffing, and directing the activities for the Masonic Villages of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. The Senior VP of Operations will assist the Chief Operating Officer in the operation of the Masonic Villages and assume administrative responsibility for any of the Masonic Village locations in the absence of the Executive Director.

Essential functions of this role include: 

  • Works in conjunction with the COO to provide operational direction and strategic oversite for programs and services for the Masonic Villages.
  • In conjunction with the COO, provides guidance to the Executive Directors at each of the Masonic Villages of PA campuses. Provides leadership in determining, implementing, and benchmarking best practices in services and marketing for Retirement Living and Healthcare areas of all Masonic Villages' campuses in order to maintain highest quality standards for services, programs and facilities.
  • Provides direct supervision to the VP of Clinical Care and Quality, VP of Sales and Marketing, President of Ashlar Home Health and Hospice and VP of Pharmacy.
  • Strategically provides support and direction to the Executive Directors to advance the organizational goal of continuing to expand resident based technology at each campus and through Home and Community Based Services.
  • Consults with and advises the Chief Operating Officer on problems related to operations at the Masonic Villages.  Recommends changes in administrative policies to carry out objectives, develop and sustain a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous quality improvement of the Masonic Villages.
  • Works closely with Executive and Corporate team to assist in the development, planning, and monitoring of a comprehensive service plan for all facilities of the Masonic Villages with a focus on strategic development of current and or new and expanded services
  • Has periodic interaction with residents of all Masonic Villages and displays a genuine interest in total services and care for Masonic Village residents.
  • Assists in the review of budget forecasts for each Masonic Village Campus to assure budgets support organizational goals and established operational benchmarks.
  • Will step in to perform the role of Executive Director for any of the Masonic Village Campuses in the event of an extended absence of the Executive Director.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.  Serve as a member of the Corporate Compliance Committee.  After appropriate review, responsible for reporting to the Chief Compliance and Strategic Officer any compliance issues involving the Chief Operations Officer.

 

What You Definitely Have:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college in business, finance, healthcare, human resources management or equivalent.
  • Three years minimum of progressively responsible management experience, preferably within a CCRC organization.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must possess a willingness to meet with leadership and employees as individuals and possess the ability to maintain good working relationships among supervised employees.
  • Ability to effectively present programs in both written and oral form to potential residents.
  • Should possess a thorough working knowledge of financial accounting and budget methods and sound business practices.
  • A good knowledge and background in geriatric health care, including sanitation, safety, and personnel administration.
  • A thorough knowledge of governmental licensor regulations as they apply to long-term care facilities and continuing care retirement communities.
  • Able to prioritize projects and deal with long and irregular hours with many interruptions. 
  • Must be able to travel between Masonic Village locations, with possibility of extended assignment at another location.
