What You'll Do:

As a IT Helpdesk Technician I, you will carry out our Mission of Love by technical support services for daily IT operations, maintaining computer hardware support, application support, network support and communications support. Our IT Helpdesk Technician I are responsible for the following:

  • Provide support to customer by professionally answering help lines, logging calls into the ticketing system, documenting conversations and troubleshooting steps completed.
  • Coordinate with team members, other technical staff and vendors to effectively resolve incidents and service requests. Document tickets with all steps taken to resolve the problem. Assist Helpdesk support staff to resolve issues. 
  • Operate the Masonic Villages' computer systems, including all peripherals and communications equipment.
  • Arrange and complete installations, upgrades, and removals of all types of computer equipment and related peripherals, including computer cabling and communications equipment.
  • Provide basic printer troubleshooting. Network connectivity, driver installs, provide end user instruction on how to find and install networked printers. Maintain accuracy of the printer service agreement by adding new printers and removing old printers. Install/update print drivers on the print server.
  • Create, update and improve technical documentation/procedures to provide step by step instructions for other support staff. Create end user instructional documentation. Contribute to knowledge base procedures.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to determine the scope of the issue. Contact vendors or service providers, if necessary, to remedy the failure. Communicate network failures to upper network staff and the affected users.
  • Work on more than one task at a time and manage work effectively by prioritizing own assignments, schedules, and meetings resulting in timely completion of work. Participate in IT projects and complete tasks that are assigned.

What You Definitely Have:

  • I have a Associates Degree in Information Technology, or currently enrolled in degree program majoring in information technology, or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • I have at least one year of experience in personal computers and personal computer software packages.
  • I have good knowledge of current Microsoft Office/0365 applications.
  • I have excellent phone, language, verbal and written communication skills.
